Simba and Yanga, the nation’s biggest and best known football clubs have been historic arch-rivals, creating in the process an overwhelming wave of support from fans in and out of the country. This huge wave of following has made the two teams the envy of aspiring young talents that seek to make it big onto the soccer scene. Most Tanzanian players based outside the country have at one time or another played for one of these two clubs.
